Rough Estimated Cost of Setting Up Your Own Worm Juice Production

Requirements:

• The following are rough costs depending on your location and what items you already have or can purchase locally:
• Need slope minimum 3.5 to 4 Degrees.
• Access to non-town water (no chlorine)
• Front end loader (or ability to hire one)
• 7 IBC's x $150 each
• Roll of high impact plastic $140
• Rhino board $1500
• High impact tape $100
• Drip lines $100
• Collection pipe and poly $400
• Petrol pump $150
• Compressor and pump for fermentation tank $500
• Truck load stable waste (50 ton)
• Truckload (10 cubic) of worm windrow containing millions of worms from Yass Worm Farms $3500
• Coffee grinds collection containers $100
• 55 micron filter $250
• Various fittings $200
• Consulting fees *see below for more details.
• Freight $2000
• Humic Acid $80

Total Average Cost: $10,000 to $12,000 + Consultancy fee @ $3500 up to 10hours. Then per hour fee for further advice.

This would produce around 25,000 litres of worm fertiliser per year. The stable waste is available from Canberra Racing Club; however, if there is a local racecourse you could self-source.
